Award-winning oil painter Madina Croce, who signs her paintings "DINI" is known for her bold , vibrant flower paintings and her luminous land and waterscapes . Whether she's painting on location in the mountainous regions of her home in New Mexico or on the Monterey Peninsula, Croce is drawn to backlit scenes and illuminated color. Her love of flowers has prompted her to create the lovely gardens where she often paints.
"I am inspired by the natural world, and travel to find scenes that beg me to paint them!" Croce says. "In painting from life, I am training my eye and hand to respond with ever greater subtlety. With every creation I come closer to the way my eyes and heart truly perceive things. This, I believe is why painters paint their whole lives and never stop learning. The people that fall in love with my work say the sunlight gives them energy and a sense of joy. It's that same sense of joy I felt when I was creating it" she says.
Croce's paintings are in the permanent museum collection of the Carlsbad Museum of Art in Carlsbad, New Mexico; as well as private and corporate collections across the U.S. She is a member of Oil Painters of America, The American Impressionist Society, Plein Air Painters of New Mexico, and The Santa Fe Society of Artists.
